CIECHS Student chosen for 4-H Honors

Alizdair  R., a student at Cumberland International recently attended the 4-H Electric Congress at the University of North Carolina -Wilmington as a county delegate from July 10-12, 2018. The qualifications for 4-H Electric Congress was the submission of an electric project book, that was reviewed by a panel of judges. Alizdair has been in 4-H since he was 6 years old and it started in South Florida in 2010. He joined 4-H in North Carolina in 2012  and he is still very active in it. Youth learn in three days about the fundamentals of electricity, renewable energy technologies, and energy conservation. These activities are sponsored and conducted by Duke Energy and Dominion Energy, and the NC Association of Electric Cooperatives.
